This easy to use DVD player is a bargin !
Well we have kids, and anyone with kids will know that sometimes spending a little less on an item as some sort of crystal ball, insurance policy can be a good idea.

You get what you pay for....even less.
The Panasonic DVD-S29 DVD Player should be known as the world's first disposable DVD player.
I don't watch many DVDs so I thought an cheap DVD player would do nicely. Unfortunately, the DVD-S29 didn't last long enough to justify the cheap cost.

good value, missing some nice-to-have features
I bought this to replace an APEX DVD player that was having trouble reading some DVD. This player read those same DVDs without issue. 2 years of technology advancement helped.
I don't yet have a HDTV so I can't speak to compatibility on that score.

SIMPLY A GREAT PRODUCT!
I tried 2 Toshibas and 1 Sony DVD's. The Toshibas couldn't read DVD-R's: on couldn't read them at all, and the other one froze at times. CD sound is bad
Picture and sound is ok for the price, watching DVD movies. CD sound is harsh, distorted, bad.
