Keeps a eye on your property

Pros Price, easy setup, free camera server.
Cons No Zoom, no Audio.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  All in all a great internet security camera
If your looking for a internet camera to keep tabs of your work, home, yard, or anything that you would like to view while your away this is the idea solution.

I had been looking for internet cameras for about a month doing research and even buying a few netcams like the logitech 4000 pro.
I have a business in a not so great location so I like to be able to view the location while I am away.
After going through a few netcams and having a hard time finding a decent service provider that I could upload the pics to so I could view away from my location I read about the Panasonic network camera that came with a free server to use with the camera.

The setup was quick and very easy to do, even having a linksys wireless router installed the setup CD did most of the work for you.

The free server that comes with the purchase of the camera was also easy to set up a new account and access was instant.
viewnetcam.com is the URL and all you need to do is set a yourname.viewnetcam.com:50000 as your address.
Pretty easy to remember especially when your away and need quick access to the camera. You can access using any browser.

Here are some of the product specs:

Product Weight 5.6 oz.
Product Length 2.4"

The camera even has a motion sensor that you can setup to e-mail your pics when triggered or set up a webcam server to upload to a ftp.
The camera includes built in memory to store your pics and using the higher 640x480 setting at one minute saves I could get just over 2 hours of reviewable footage.

There are lots of option using the free server, you can even attach up to 16 cameras in multiview.
You can set your camera to record 24/7 or only certain hours of the day. Everything is ajustable.

The picture quality is actually very good especially using CMOS lens technology.
The downside is that there is no audio.
You can tilt and pan your camera using the server but no zoom.
For the price though with having quality color pictures in real time with pan and tilt you can't go wrong.
During low light conditions you will notice that the camera automatically ajusts to compensate. You can even manually adjust the brightness.
Be aware that if you have a very dark room with a light source the area with the light will be a bit washed out.
You can also have preset spots for your camera to watch with a click of a button.

The camera also comes with a "privacy" button in the front which you can press to stop recording. You can set it so that no one can deactivate the camera using the admin settings on the server but if someone can access the button they can easily just unplug the camera so that's a useless feature.
There is a led light in front of the camera also that lets you know its recording. It will blink amber if its not recording so you know if there is something wrong.
The only real drawback I have noticed is that when you have it running 24/7 it sometimes "crashes". You will need to unplug the power to reboot the cam but only happens once every few weeks.
I've been using the camera for 6 months now running nonstop since then.
