as an mp3 CDR player, awesome hardware; nonexistent software
I've been looking for a good player for a long time which would play the mp3 files I've ripped and stored on CDR's. While earlier iterations have proven partially successful, there have always been limitations: VBR's wouldn't play, certain bitrates wouldn't play, and portability was limited. I... Super Sound! Great CD Player
I bought this CD player at Circuit City after looking for one for quite some time. I wanted something that played CDs, mp3s, and also had a radio, but wasn't huge. I can't believe how great the sound is. I have yet to find much of anything I don't like about it (except the headphones took some... Read full review »
TERRIBLE SOUND
It's got a beat. Whoever trims these circuits should be shot. Not to worry. It was probably done by a machine. Because any human with ears would not have let this off the factory floor.
It seems the loudest note gets emphasized. The circuits think the lesser sounds should be muted. You've...

Panasonic...even better than the Sony
Well, I was looking around Wal-Mart for a new CD player, that had radio and MP3. They had a few Durabrands, but I was scared to buy one because of their lack of durability and quality in the past. They had a few Maganvoxs (spelling check?), but the look wasn't too appealing. They had some Sonys,... Read full review »
Works as advertised
I've owned many portable CD players, and this one (so far) is the best. Great sound, decent headphones (though I didn't really need them) and clear controls. I haven't encountered a disc it won't play. I really like the fact you can pause an MP3 (not all players do this). The radio section is a... Read full review »
Headphones didn't last 9 months
It works OK, but the headphones failed in less than 9 months. The CD cover latch broke and we have to use tape to keep it closed. A friend has the same model and had the same problem with the headphones. Read full review »
Panasonic SL-SV570 Personal CD Player
Using the given player I did not like in it(him) quality sounding, speaking on another a range of reproduced frequencies very small and as small target capacity of the given device!
Headphones delivered in the complete set only emphasize bad sounding so I recommend to pick up others! And after...

A great CD player
I am very happy with this player. I was looking for something that could play MP-3 CD's, had an FM tuner, and had good anti-shock, as I would use it while working out. This player has not skipped once since I've been using it. I can shake it and it won't skip.
The price was very good,...

Good Value for the money
Sleek, and lightweight! Buttons easy to press, without accidentally pressing stuff that you don't want. Display easy to read. Anti-skip system is outstanding. I was literally shaking the CD player to see how it would respond. It did not skip once. Read full review »
