The Panasonic PT-40LC12 Multi-Media Projection TV
Pros
Widescreen viewing, brighter picture and better resolution than standard Projection TVs. Only 17" deep.
Cons
Lamp requires replacing every 5000 hours. Technology for LCD panel still early in refinement.

I went out searching for the largest TV that would fit in a Space 40" wide by 24" deep. I liked the plasma TVs but did not want to spend the high prices. This Panasonic Projection TV seemed to fit what I wanted. I was unfamiliar with the projection LCD format so I had to learn about it from a variety of salespeople at different stores. Overall, I am pleased with the TV. The picture quality seems to be the highest among the projection TVs and the price was well below the equivilant plasma screens. After getting use to the navigation menu to adjust the picture and sound settings to fit our liking, we have enjoyed to this TV very much. The navigation menu is a bit awkward. The sound quality for the TV set itself is good. I have hooked it up to a home theater sound system.
