I got this TV back in October, 2004 and I couldn't be happier. The picture is awesome. I do not have any sound system in my living room but I am completely satisfied with the sound it generates.
I read complaints that this TV makes a lot of noise, but I certainly don't hear anything. And, when you shut it off, there is a small noise but it is just the fan winding down, and it certainly isn't annoying.
The HD is awesome, especially on ESPN and the sports.
