The Bottom Line:
I like this TV very much!
This worked very well in my living room situation. I had a 27" TV, with no inputs at all. I've been living with it for about 10 years, and decided it was time to finally get a TV I really wanted!
I looked at this TV at Circuit City and thought it was great! I was debating on the Samsung that was equal to this one, eventually decided on the Panasonic because it was $400 less, and had the SD Memory Card slot built-in. It also has 1080i capability, and the PIP is simply amazing! I have run out of cables to get everything connected the way I would like, but so far, so good!
I bought a Monster Composite cable for my PS/2 ($60!!!), and it makes a huge difference on a lot of games. This TV is good for gamers because it has an LCD screen.
My DVD player is not progressive scan, but it still looks very good hooked up with a S-Video cable.
My cable provider doesn't have HDTV yet, but they promise me it is coming soon. I hope so, because that is one the things I really want to see!
I had an existing TV stand, that I bought from WalMart and it fits just fine on top of it. I am no weight lifter, and I picked this thing up by myself and set on the stand. I think it weighs around 68 pounds.
I would by another for sure! I would have bought the 50, but it wouldn't fit very good in my living room.
Update:
It's about 5 months now since I bought it, and I still love it! I'm getting HDTV next week and I will update on the results. No problems with it so far though.
