The Bottom Line:
If you have a digital source for programming and don't want to worry about burn-in, this is a great set for the money.
The decision to buy a big screen TV is hard. There are a lot of choices and a lot of opinions. I labored over this one for a while. My reason for going with the Panasonic LCD projection was because I was really impressed with the picture in the store and I didn't want to worry about burn-in. CRT projections and plasma suffer burn-in. I didn't want to worry about that issue. I also didn't want a cabinet that was 2 feet deep like most CRT projections. This TV doesn't take up as much floor space and has a better picture than most CRT projections. Digital sources are great. Non-digital aren't as great. If you don't have satellite or digital cable, you won't get a great picture. But otherwise, it's very good.
