When I saw this set advertised for $998.00 at the local electronics warehouse, I thought it might be too inexpensive to be any good. Well that assumption was 100% wrong. I did have a 51" $4000.00 samsung with DLP and It gave me headaches (rainbow effect). BUT IT HAD AN AWESOME PICTURE with very wide veiwing angle and amazing contrast.
THIS Panasonic PT-47WX53 47 IS ALMOST AS GOOD FOR $3,000.00 LESS. It actually has a better remote (lighted).
It has tons of inputs and outputs and even a DVI for computers. When seated on the couch about 10' away and on a decent angle with a progressive scan DVD the picture is really excellent. It has 1080i for any external HDTV receiver. It is the 16:9 widescreen for movies and at only 2 feet depth it dosen't crow the room too much. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED I GIVE IT A KICK TAIL AWARD! 9 OUT 10 STARS
