The Panasonic PT-50DL54 set I ordered did not operate at all when it arrived. Merchant (digitalmegastore.com) claims no responsible to replace or repair it, and referred me to Panasonic who, in turn, referred me to one of their service reps. The estimated time for repair (if it can be repaired) is over two weeks. Some purchase! It is more Panasonic's fault than the mechant's.
The principle seems very clear to me: If one purchases a new TV they are entitled to receive one in operating order!
