Pros Great Picture, good price.
Cons No real Picture in Picture
Recommended it? Yes

First of all we love this TV, from its look to it's performance. But before I go into the detail let me tell you how I arrived at the Panasonic PT-50DL54 50.

First decision was Plasma, LCD, or DLP. My thoughts were plasma is both expensive and fragile, gases can escape either through... Read full review »

Pros easy to replace bulb (long lamp life) HDMI support price, quality and weight (75lbs.)
Cons suckie remote interface noisy fan when on low volume
Recommended it? Yes

AWSOME PICTURE!! looks better than the high end sony 50" sxdr (or something) at half of the price. Newer modles (such as mine) has the HDMI port which means pure digital pipeline from my HDPVR box (scientific atlanta) to my DLPtv. Picture needed a bit of fine tuining once i got it home. (i turned... Read full review »

Pros Outstanding picture quality, light weight
Cons stock speaker sound, alittle noisy(when almost mute)
Recommended it? Yes

Good tv, outstanding picture. Little glare as compared to others where you can practically see yourself in the screen. Great when paired w/ a good surround system. It is a alittle noisy (the fan) when the volume is almost all the way down. Read full review »

Pros Great images / HDTV, color range, viewing angles, inputs - same as Plasma, lower cost
Cons Can't hang on the wall like a plasma
Recommended it? Yes

I wanted a large flat screen HDTV. I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Evaluated Plasma (the station logos burn in apparently as they are on screen all the time) and it was way more expensive. LCD in the large size is great, but also too expensive. LCD projection was bulkier, and the viewing... Read full review »

Pros -Great picture -Lots of inputs -Very little reflection
Cons -Blew a bulb in week three -
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this tv and love the picture, inputs coming out the wazoo, easy to use. This type of tv doesn't get the reflection problems that other tv's get. In the store I was watching a big screen and could clearly see the show on the opposite big screen behind me in the picture. With the Panasonic... Read full review »

Pros Size, Inputs!!, brightness, Card slots in front.
Cons None so far.
Recommended it? Yes

Unreal picture, just hooked up the hdtv and the picture is incredible. Almost bought a 42" Panasonic EDTV Plasma but in a room that is larger go with the 50" DLP, from 15' away you are hard pressed to tell the difference. This unit warms up quickly, has deep blacks, and is very bright when it needs... Read full review »

Pros Fantastic picture, lightweight, reliable technology.
Cons A bit of fan noise at extremely low volume levels.
Recommended it? Yes

I'd been waiting for technology to settle in before I bought my next generation large screen HDTV. My previous set was a Panasonic 53" CRT HDTV that I was very pleased with. So I was prediposed to go back to Panasonic, but also considered Sony, and Mitsubishi.

Social pressures told me... Read full review »

Pros none yet
Cons Panasonic service people are rude and indiferent Ditto for their registered sevice agents
Recommended it? No

The Panasonic PT-50DL54 set I ordered did not operate at all when it arrived. Merchant (digitalmegastore.com) claims no responsible to replace or repair it, and referred me to Panasonic who, in turn, referred me to one of their service reps. The estimated time for repair (if it can be repaired) is... Read full review »
