Panasonic PT-50LC13 50 in. HDTV LCD TV

This TV has the greatest outside cabinet (eye appeal), excellent sound and picture quality, which is why I bought it. As for its performance, it can't get much worse, despite me rarely even using it. I'm a busy girl and pretty much bought it to watch a DVD or two on a weekend, as I don't watch TV during the week at all. With only using the TV approximately 4 hours a week, I've already gone through 4 bulbs in 3 years! Further, the TV frequently had a very long start-up time - often 15 minutes or longer after I turned it on. Just about the time I concluded the TV blew again, it would randomly turn on and scare the bajeebees out of me and make me think my house was haunted. It was - haunted by Panasonic! Thank God, I had purchased a 4-year performance warranty, or would have been eating the cost of 4 bulbs (with service and installation, that's $400 a pop!). The $300 performance plan paid for itself several times over (and they say people don't make out on those things). This TV got too expensive even for Best Buy's performance warranty, so Best Buy literally came over this week (to replace the 4th bulb) and told me to go back to their store and pick out ANY BRAND NEW 50" TV they have so they can get out of the performance plan.
