The Bottom Line:
While I've only had this TV for a week, I'm very impressed with both its features and its picture quality. Only time will tell when it comes to durability.
Bought this TV last week. So far, so good. The picture at home is just as good as it was on the demo unit in the store. TV includes a couple of nice extras. It has a built in antenna splitter and also accepts 2 antenna inputs, in addition to the 2 component and 2 video inputs. Also nice is the ability to use the built-in speakers (and they are reasonably good) as the center channel speakers if you have a home theater sound system. This saves having to put a center channel speaker on top of the TV. The remote can work on many different cable boxes, VCRs, and DVD players, although it just so happens not to be able to deal with the VCR I have hooked up to the system (something my old Sony TV's remote could do).
Overall I am extremely pleased with the TV, and it does have a fairly good picture on my standard signal cable, although on occasion the picture will be grainy if the cable signal is not working well. This TV is HD capable through the addition of an HD tuner. The monitor itself is HD capable.
The ability for the owner to set convergence is an extremely nice feature. It allows you to reset convergence yourself in order to avoid a future service call if the picture quality should degrade.
Finally, having built in rollers is a nice feature. While you should avoid moving rear projection TVs, it is nice to know you won't have to break your back if you ever actually need to get behind the unit for some reason.
