If you can find it under 1400, get it otherwise wait until May for the Pt-51HX43.
Excellent value for the money. Crystal clear picture. Brilliant sound. Easy setup and programming. Recommended highly for the budget minded consumer.
This model is not being made by Panasonic anymore. The new model PT-51HX43 comes out in May. Do not buy it at Circuit City, their customer service is poor. I bought this TV in early January and was told it would take 1 one week to be delivered. After three weeks was told it was a special order? I found this confusing since they have the model in their showroom, on their web site and have it on sale for this week 2/15/03. They say the are getting more in but Panasonic is out of them so how can they get something the manufacture does not have?
I would wait until May for the new model. I found this model at Sound Track (Ultimate Electronics/ Audio King in other states) an it was their last one so got a good deal. I paid under 1300 for the TV, extended service plan and delivery.
