Very happy, Great buy
Pros
wonderful picture easy to use remote
Cons
'muddy' sound, use your stereo system, OK, but not great field of view
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
great picture on a lower budget, simple to use & enjoy
We originally wanted to replace our 12 yr old Panasonic 27" tube tv, but we knew that going to a larger screen would need a new stand. Thinking a new decent 35" & a good stand would run over a $1000, we gave some thought to a big screen. Our salesman was very smooth, every little feature was discussed & added on, soon we were looking at the 47" panasonic. We agreed that HDTV ready was the way to go. We also thought the Sony, Mitsubishi & Pioneer elite were a bit better, but not worth $500 to 800 more.
The first store did no carry the new RCA models, so we went
to Circuit City to A/B the Panasonic vs. the RCA.
Panasonic was the easy winner. Circuit city had the 47" for $150. less, too. But there on display was a duplicate
53" for even less. It was 70 days old & the store gave us a break on the Warranty (I asked for it).
We love it
DVDs are like the movies.
Football games are great.
Played my son's XBOX, ans now he does not want to go to the arcade anymore
hooked up back & forth with my surround sound stereo system
& we could show off to the world.
