Defective TV and defective customer service

Let's start off by saying, if you buy one of these you had better buy it at a local retailer so you can take it back. I bought mine a month ago mail order and it cost me $225 for shipping the 480lb monster, so I don't really want to have to ship mine back.
So now here is my story of Panasonic's customer service or lack thereof! When I first hooked up the TV I noticed I had vertical lines running all over the screen when using S-Video inputs, I tried all the adjustments, but nothing worked. I called Panasonic's customer service and they sent out a technician who arrived 1 week later and said I had a bad Y/C board. They sent him a new one and he came out the following Friday to install it which didn't fix it.
So now it's been 2 weeks and still the TV is messed up. The technician then came out on the following Tuesday and the following Friday per Panasonic's instructions to try and make some adjustments via the Serviceman Codes, which nothing worked.
Now it's been 3 weeks, so I called back to Panasonic's customer service and they want the technician to come out and remove the chassis to take it back to the shop, so they came troubleshoot and try and fix it. I asked them if they could just bring me out a new chassis and get my TV working and they could troubleshoot the bad one to their heart's content. The customer service supervisor got very arrogant with me and said my warranty was only a repair warranty and they would fix MY parts only. I asked him how long they might have my chassis, he couldn't give me a date.
So there you have it, it's now week 4 and they are coming out to get the chassis tomorrow and who knows when or if I will ever be watching this $4000 TV!
The only good point I can give this TV is that the picture quality when using the component inputs is fantastic. I hooked them up with a Pioneer DV-434 progressive scan DVD player and the picture was very clear and it had a lot of depth. The picture was almost three dimensional at times and the colors were wonderful. If all the inputs worked this well this TV would be a great buy until something breaks and you have to deal with their customer service center.
