Panasonic, I Use Mine Everyday

Pros easy to use, quality, small
Cons remote is too large
Recommended it? Yes
Panasonic PV-9400 is the VCR I use everyday and it's proven to be a quality machine. The black, 15x4x11 size box sits neatly on top of the TV.
It's simplistic in design and is very user-friendly. Gold lettering makes for easy to find power buttons. On the left front is the power on button and the stop/reject button. On the right front is the rewind, play, and fast forward. It's that simple. The red record button is in the middle with the digital clock. This clock can be seen from across the room, makes telling time convenient!

I go through a ritual every evening with setting my VCR to tape my favorite Art Bell Talk Radio program. Yes, I could listen on computer by pulling up his archived previous programs but the sound quality is better on the Panasonic VCR. I am not limited to just one room as I listen to the program either. I also don't have to turn up the volume as much when I replay through the VCR and TV. So the next day or even later I will have the tape of a fantastic talk show to listen to.

The fast forward button is such a wonderful tool. Then also, the rewind button. I know people who learned to paint pictures of lovely scenes by taping a "Let's Paint" type show then getting together all the paints and brushes. After painting and rewinding, lots of nice pictures were produced. People also cook with the rewind button and Julia Child's program.

If you don't have a VCR you are missing out on so many wonderful other opportunities for great entertainment. Renting movies to watch is fun.
The library offers free rental on classical and other movies too.

Then some people will buy two VCRs and tape their favorite movie from rental. I have owned several Panasonics. They last for quite a few years even with the all-night recordings every nite of the week at my house. Art is on 7 nights a week!!

The timer gets set to begin recording at 12AM and stop at 5AM and it works like a charm should work! Enjoy these wonderful gifts of technology.
Rent a camcorder, video the kids then watch your own family starring in a home-made movie. Kids love this, and they never grow up on video. Get that VCR and make lots of new discoveries. We will always have several in my home.
