Yes
The Bottom Line:
All the basic features and very easy to use.Very durable, has made it through a few short moves and one very long one! Couldn't be happier!
I bought this VCR as a present to myself in the fall of last year. I wanted to be able to rent movies and not have to go over to someone else's house to watch them. I didn't have a whole lot of money so I looked around for a good deal. Boy did I find one! I only paid $89.00 for this VCR, it was on sale and is normally around $120 or atleast that is what I remember.
This VCR was sort of an impulse buy, yes I wanted a VCR but couldn't seem to find one that was cheap but had good features. Then I found this beauty. I have a small 13" TV and this VCR fits perfectly underneath it.
I love the features this VCR has, it doesn't go overboard with buttons and includes all the important stuff. It is a 4 head VCR and comes with a lighted universal remote. I lost my TV remote long ago so this was a big perk! My favorite feature is that it has an auto clock set. It adjusts itself along with daylight savings and keeps time even after the power goes out. This is great considering all my other clocks end up flashing. There are different languages available so it would be good for Spanish or even French speaking people. It has a tape position display so you know how close you are to the beginning or end. The remote has large buttons and you can change channels easily from across the room. I haven't had any problems with it, tapes have never gotten stuck and programs are always recorded as I plan.
The only complaint I have is that the remote is sorda big and awkward. But it keeps it from being lost as easily too.
This is a great VCR for teenagers or people just starting out. Anyone who is concerned about value and quality will be happy with this VCR. It has every basic feature plus a few extras. It has held up great so far it made it through some rough moves as well. Do not buy it if you like alot of extra features and gadgets because this is just a basic exceptional VCR.
UPDATE: I wrote this review over 18 months ago and the VCR is still going strong. It even made it through my 1600 mile move! And now with cable I have a remote that is easier to handle.
