I purchased this product to upgrade my home theatre experience and I am pleased to say that it was a wise decision. The picture quality is superior to other VCR's of equal value and the sound reproduction is more than I expected. I have taped movies off the satellite and found no loss in quality. I was considering purchasing Super VHS and was recommended to look at this machine first by the salesman and I'm glad I listened to him. I am a supporter of Panasonic products and this makes me realize that my decision is correct.
