Yes
After begging my husband for 5 years to buy me a camcorder, he finally took me to purchase one. There were about 18 to choose from, and I was able to eliminate all but 3, due to the fact that I wanted a pop out LCD monitor.
Some of the prices were so high! Ranging from 450-900. I thought I would start at the bottom of the price list, and assumed I would sacrifice quality for a better price. I couldn't have been more wrong!
I had the box opened and the parts spread around in a matter of seconds. This camera comes with it all...a battery and charger, good for two hours. There is also a cord so you can use the power from an outlet if you choose. It uses compact tapes, and comes with the cables to hook up to a VCR to play your tapes, or you can use the included playpak, in which you insert the tape, and it works like a full size VHS tape. How nice they were to include the battery that is needed in the playpak!
Instantly I was roaming around the house taping my kids, zooming in and out. It has a regular 26x zoom range, and then an extended digital zoom up to 150x! You can employ a stabilizer to record fast moving events, push another button and it helps keep the filming more steady even when you aren't! It has a built in light, which you can turn on, or use in auto mode, and also utilizes a backlight feature to help in lower light situations.
One of my favorite goodies is the fade feature- you can always use a standard black fade, but this one allows you to choose several colors, and methods of fading. I LOVE this camera! It has titles you can include, all of which are pre-programmed. That is the only feature I don't like- I was hoping to be able to type in my own. Who knows- maybe you can I just haven't figured it out yet!
Very easy to use, crisp clear picture, multiple features, price you can afford. That is what I call a deal you just can't pass up!
