We purchased this camcorder because we wanted to capture our 3 children's growing years on tape. It has been very easy to use. It is compact and lightweight. I have found Panasonic to be very reliable. It has a 4" screen which makes seeing what you're taping great. It comes with a playback pack so you can play the tapes in your VCR.
What I really love about this model is it comes with a built-in digital camera. I love taking pictures and am now able to take some and send them instantaneously to friends and family via e-mail. It's a great way to show those loved ones who don't live nearby great shots! It comes with a 2MB flash memory card. It will only hold about 34 pictures if taking in fine mode. If you plan on taking many pictures, I suggest purchasing an extra card.
