We bought this PV-L-759 in May from an on-line merchant and I can honestly say it was worth every penny. I saved over $100 by buying it on-line, in fact, you should be able to buy it for between $500 and $600 which makes it extremely affordable.
It offers a lot of features, including the capability to take digital still photos. The digital still feature is nice, since we don't have a digital camera, but don't count on it replacing your camera. It is not nearly the quality of a digital photo that you can take with a digital camera, but still, it is a nice feature to have.
The camera is lightweight, and I really like the COLOR viewfinder screen. That is a big improvement.
Our previous camcorder was an 8 mm and I like the VHS-C better. It is easier to show tapes to friends and family.
I recommend this to all of my friends.
