This is my second Panasonic camcorder. Both have had the same problem. AT least 50% of the time, the camera will turn off after displaying the message "Dew Detected". It is not humid where I live so I cannot understand this. It has done the same thing while on vacation in other states and countries, so I am sure it is not really dew. I missed my sons Baptism, birthday and Christmas recordings because of this. I did take the camera in for servicing only to be told there are no problems with the camera. I have started borrowing a camera for special events, to be sure that I have them on tape. These borrowed cameras never show dew detected, even though mine still does. I can assure you that I will not purchase another panasonic, as I want to be sure and have my memories preserved.
