TV/VCR/FM Radio Combo

Pros Feature-rich, durable
Cons Nearly Irreplaceable Remote Control
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Feature-rich and durable, it's an excellent TV for places where it may be bumped around. Unfortunately, once the remote control is lost or damaged, so are the best features lost.
This combination of a Television and VCR (Video Cassette Recorder) and FM (Frequency Modulated) Radio is ideal for tight places - like a small office or mobile home.

Some of the minor features include:
- Sleep Mode: Automatically turn off after a set period of time.
- Audio/Video Input: Allow input from a DVD, camcorder or other a/v device that supports the yellow RCA video cable. No S-Video or SPDIF connector comes with it, but adapters are easily found at electronic stores.
- Earphone: Allows audio to be sent to a headset, or even to a stereo system's amplifier.
- Cable Ready: This term used to be important, but nowadays, you'll likely have to use your cable or satellite provider's tuner.
- Multi-Language: Supported through SAP and closed captions.

Some of the major features include:
- Preset Radio Stations: 9 customizable one-touch station settings
- Auto-Detect TV Stations: Automatically find channels, RF or CATV, that are currently transmitting.
- VCR ID programmable recording.
- Preset Recording: Record TV programs at specific, or recurring times.

Some features are only available through the proprietary remote control buttons. Universal remotes can't access all of the features. That means that if you lose the original remote control, you'll have to replace it with one from Panasonic – or do without all the great enhancements.
