Panasonic 4521
Pros
This vcr is inexpensive and an all purpose vcr
Cons
remote control not truly universal. the stop button is away from all the controls.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
This is an inexpensive vcr, and suits the average user. I'd recommend a user use an s-vhs vcr if they really want to record in better picture quality.
The first thimg I noticed was probably the price and the features it provided. This vcr can record in sp, lp, and slp mode ( 2,4,6hrs on a t120 blank tape). This is a 4 head hi-fi vcr. It is light. The quality of the picture is good but not exceptional.
I brought this product because panasonic's reputation precedes it and its warranty wasn't too shabby comparing to the market standard of 1 year.
What it has:
This product has front and back a\v inputs to do recordings conveniently. It has auto clock set, tape position display, and timer recordings.
Resservations:
I guess my only reservation would be that it doesn't really have a truly universal remote control; it can only control tv and vcr, not cable. I would have to sometimes hold a remote control on each hand. Lastly, I still have not figured out how the backlight works on the remote.
