A cool Cheap CD/MP3/WMA player for my car
Pros
Resume Play, FF/Rew within MP3 track, affordable, great sound
Cons
slow response
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
This is a great buy. I trust Panasonic.
I replaced my old Cassette player with this CD/MP3 player.
The good:
- It looks really great
- plays mp3 flawlessly, haven't tried WMA
- radio is good
- the remote is very useful
- Resume play works well. I really needed this which is why I didn't go for a portable CD/MP3 player. I can turn off in the middle of the mp3 track and the it starts exactly where it left off. Very useful. Initially I had a problem with this. Then, I muted (or was it pause), before turning it off and then when I turned it on, it started working. But afterwards I don't need to do anything. It just works fine.
- I can FF/Rew within the MP3 tracks. This is also a MUST for me, as I have some single loooong MP3 tracks (some old classical recordings converted from tapes).
- The Sound quality is very good.
The Bad:
- Very very slow response time
- Not much info on display. This is fine, though
- Takes a long time to read at the start
Just spent $25 for installation at a custom car audio store. Most of the shops ask for around $40-50. If you have the right tools, the installation is very simple and it is not worth paying that much.
Overall I am very happy with the purchase. I wish my commutes were longer :-)
