You don't even need a computer on site, once you have set up the camera/s.

This camera is perfect for anyone wanting to keep an eye on things while away. You can set it up to be viewed by all, or just yourself, via internet or even your cell phone. You can set up timers, sensors, or motion to be recorded in the buffer, or to a hard drive, or sent to your cell.
I must mention I have two panasonic BL-c30a's and then the one BL-c131a on one site. I will be purchasing more for another residence.
If you buy this camera, and want to view it over the internet, be prepared for having your phone company open the port/s for you, in case you are not able to accomplish it yourself.
Panasonic phone support is awesome! The camera is great for surveillance and the microphone is sensitive.
Panasonic offers a free service with viewnetcam for your cameras. It is like your own free web address.
