Buy it! You can't beat this quality of sound for the price.
This is an awesome system for the price. I got mine on clearance for only $150. Though the sound quality is that of a system twice the price. It's total power output is 540 watts which includes a 180 watt subwoofer. It has 9 different preset sound settings and the sub can be adjusted to 3 different levels from min to max. The bass levels on this unit are rich and deep and comparable to a mid range home theater set. I also tried sony's 530 watt mhc-gx99 set and this one blows it out of the water. Panasonic came out with this years model which is the sc-ak750 which is a 660 watt shelf system including a 220 watt sub. And I can tell you it that system could not hold a candle to this one as well. The bass was no where near as deep as this models and the midrange on the new unit is lackluster at best.
If you can still find it this was definitely a high class unit for the price range. I HIGHLY recommend it. It shakes the walls at level 20 and it can go all the way up to level 50! I have not dared to go up that high for fear of getting kicked out of my apt!:)
