I wanted a lightweight cd player. Something with good markings so I knew what button I was pushing, plus one that isn't so complicated that it is frustrating. I haven't used it for mp3's just regular cd's and I am very happy. Lightweight, easy readable buttons, long long battery life. Just what I was looking for. I did replace their headphones with Bose.
