Loving the XR-50S
Pros
Fully digital, lots of inputs, small size, amazing value for the price.
Cons
Owners manual totally sucks, have to scroll through menus to change things like treble etc.

Bought this up here in Canada at Future Shop for $249CDN. I have been looking for a replacement for my Kenwood V2070 receiver that the Dolby Digital decoder fried on it. Always been a big Panasonic fan and this receiver doesn't disappoint. Not sure how music plays on it since it was primarily bought for movies and let me tell you this little baby rocks.
My setup:
Panasonic 32" TAU CRT
Panasonic DVD-F87S
Panasonic XR-50S
Energy 5.1 Home Theatre Speakers with 8" Sub
All equipment tied together with Monster Cable.
Movies are amazing on this thing, my Energy speakers have never sounded better. The Star Wars Trilogy, Indiana Jones Trilogy all sounded spectacular. Gladiator in DTS is something to be heard! I'm sure there are better sounding receivers out there, but I bet you that you would pay at least 4X more! At $249 CDN you get yourself a full digital amplifier that sounds great for movies. A no brainer in my opinion.
