Awesome Bass, Serious Sound
Pros
bright colorful display, great bass, large volume knob, sleep/alarm timers
Cons
hard to set timers, tape deck complicated to use
Recommended it?
Yes
My Panasonic stereo was worth the $250 I paid for it at ShopKo. I thought it was a bit spendy at first. After considering my options for sound systems I decided the features were worth the price.
The first thing that drew me to it was the colorful display. I know it isn't important but the bouncing purple lines were a very cool effect. When I turned it on to my favorite hard rock station I was amazed at the awesome quality of sound coming from a radio signal. The Sub Woofers have 3 settings which come in handy if I don't want the whole house to shake.
I can turn my stereo up and listen to it all around my house. I can also set the timer to wake up to soft music...or when I really have to get up early, loud rock music. The sleep timer is also nice when I want to fall asleep listening to music.
The only complaints I have are that it is sort of difficult to set timers and things of that nature, but once you learn how it isn't too hard to remember. The manual is pretty good at explaining how things work. I also don't like how the tape deck works but I don't use it very much anyhow.
Overall it is a great stereo compared to ones of other brands with the same features that I've seen or used at friends' houses.
