The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this because it is a good system for a person starting to get into home theater.
I bought this system last christmas and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have a DVD player and VCR hooked to it and it detects whether a DVD has dolby digital or DTS decoding automatically and sets the audio setting to the right one. The manual is very detailed, making the receiver and speakers easy to hook up and use. The remote is good too because it will control just about any TV, VCR, DVD player, and CD player. I have it controlling my TV, VCR, and DVD player. The only bad part is that the FM antenna is sufficient for normal needs but if you want to pick up stations farther away than usual, you need a different antenna.
