Not all that I had hoped for!

Pros Very small, long lasting battery
Cons No display on the remote
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  I like this CD player, but I wouldn't recommend it, based on the problems I have had.
Well, I purchased the CD player on a whim.. My main criteria were:

1) Long lasting battery
2) Must accept CD/R and CD/RW

The CD player definitely does both of these things, but there are some things it doesn't do so well.

My first complaint is that every once and a while, the CD player seems to get confused and just play random noise. This doesn't happen that often, and I haven't been able to pin down exactly what causes it to happen, but when it does, it's very annoying. I'm an electrical engineer, so what I think is happening is that when the 40 second buffer empties prematurly (like when you're jarring it for some time), instead of just stopping or playing silence, it just plays whatever is left in the buffer (which is just random numbers now).

Anyways, when it does work, it has good sound, great battery life, and the remote is pretty well laid out. When it crashes though, it really makes me upset. I'm thinking about taking it back and trying a new one.
