I Like The Panasonic SL-MP35
Pros
Built Solid/ Battery Life/ Played All My MP3 Files With No Problem/ Good Instruction Manual
Cons
No Back Light/ Limited But Adequate Volume
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
The player has good sound, great battery life, and what is considered to be, by todays standards, basic functions.---- I highly recommend this "basic"- MP3, CD-R/CD-RW player.
I was looking for a MP3 CD-R/CD-RW player and did some research on various players in the $100 price range. The reviews for the SL-MP35 were good overall, but I read a few reviews that stated the volume did not go high enough. I purchased the player with the thought in the back of my mind that I could always return it. However, I found the volume to be enough for me. I will say for others who like to listen to loud music that the volume does not go nearly as high as most other players I have had an opportunity to try. The only function it does not have that I would have liked is a back light. I strongly recommend replacing the headphones. I picked up a pair of Koss KSC-50's ($13) for running around and have a pair of Koss Portapros ($35) for home use. Try these Koss models and I believe you will like the sound you receive for the cost. I think the headphones are the best single improvement you can make to the SL-MP35.
