Easy to use, needs some improvement
I have had the SL-MP70 for nearly two years now and frequently play it through my car stereo. Recording MP3-encoded discs are played through without noticeable problems when playing files encoded at 256kbps and 320kbps; however, results are mixed with any variable bit rate files.
What I...

Not quite truth in advertising
I'll tell ya, I've been having a heck of a time finding a portable CD player that handles MP3 CDROMs to my liking. Maybe I'm picky (probably), but I don't think I'm really that picky.
I've tried a Memorex unit, which displayed track titles and had decent, solid playback, but made a heck...

Panasonic SL-MP70 MP3/CD Player is a good buy.
I purchased the Panasonic SL-MP70 CD/MP3 player so I could listen to music while at work. I wanted an MP3/CD player with good sound quality, mp3 tag support, and I wanted it as cheap as possible. While there are other no-name brands on the market, I at least wanted a brand name. A coworker of mine... Read full review »
At the price, its a bargain - budget for additional headphones though
After looking at a few MP3 players which were quite a bit more expensive I decided to go the route of the discman that can play MP3's and I'm very glad I did. The SL MP70 is simple and fairly intuitive to use, it has a central circular button that has the on/play/pause, forward, backward, and... Read full review »
Panasonic SL-MP70 is Supreme!
The reason I bought the Panasonic SL-MP70 is because I dropped my Philips CD Player and it failed. So, I went and bought this Panasonic and I have been Highly impressed.
Controls:
The controls are great, and highly intuitive. Every button works just the way you think it should...

Panasonic SL-MP70 is light weight and cheap
I just got my SL-MP70. I was suprised by how light it was, even with the batteries. It is very circular in shape. It is not to big and looks nice. I really like the 4-way metal button on the top. Its great. It plays, pauses, fast forwards, rewinds, stops, shuts off and on. There are five buttons on... Read full review »
Does the job, but nothing else
Upon upgrading to my first mp3 player with the sl-mp70, I was expecting a completely new experience, but was quite dissapointed. The sl-mp70 does it's job and plays the mp3's and cd's with no problems, but it was the small things that really bothered me. The mp3 player has no skip ten feature or... Read full review »
Sounded great until it broke...
I purchased this at Walmart on clearance for about $40, and it served me well for about five business trips. It is wonderful to take four or five CD's that contain your entire CD library - saves alot of space. I liked the features of this unit, and the only problem I had was that it took me a few... Good player for price
Good player for the price. Sounds quality seems good but not great (with good headphones). Can't seem to display both Album and Track title on the same screen. Get better headphones though! Headphone volume could be higher, but it's probably safer for your ears the way it is. Can't search with MP3s. Read full review »
Good Technology, Bad Materials
My minidisc player broke down so I thought about alternatives. I hated the hassle of recording my songs to the MD player in real-time, so I knew I wanted something that involved my computer in doing that process for me. I checked out all of the flash & jukebox mp3 players and all of them either... Read full review »
