Alas! Where the Panasonic SL-MP80 pers. CD player?????
Pros
Trouble-free, high-performance CD personal player. Very resistant to abuse. Long battery life. Skip free.
Cons
Supplied headphones not the highest quality but not unusable either. I replaced them.

The Panasonic SL-MP80 personal CD player has been the most trouble-free, high-performance consumer digital device I have dealt with in recent years. Accurate playback, proper rendition all the time. No matter the mode--CD, WMA, MP3.
A few days ago I dropped it from a high surface to a hard floor one too many times. Something I did in repairing the damage tore loose a connector and associated pads on the motherboard. Hopeless I am afraid.
Why, oh, why did Panasonic discontinue this wonderful baby???
