PRICE VS FUNCTION:THE TRADE
Pros
great sounding playback, exceptional jolt protection, light
Cons
Poor quality headphones, flimsy design
Recommended it?
Yes
After much research, I chose this cd player for it's exceptional value and performance. The playback is flawless, with a 40 second buffering chip, no jolt will disrupt your great sounding flow. I toss it in my backpack and
forget about it. It's also great in the car, the 40 second protection protects me even on the bumpiest of roads. Some people may say that 40 seconds is overkill, but that's not true. I travel a fair distance over roads which are less than perfectly flat, and never has this player
skipped a beat. Most importantly, the music comes out rich and full, the XBASS setting dramatically increases it's body. On the downside(if their is one) is the cd cover. It is rather flimsy and i am always afraid of it breaking. But that is just the price to pay for lightness. The supplied
headphones leave much to be desired. But for ten extra dollars you can invest in a respectable pair. Overall i would highly recommend this player for it's full sounding playback and extra long jolt protection. I have also found that Sony products of similiar quality carry a heavier price
tag just for the name. In fact, the internal components of the players are incredibly similar.
