This is the best cd player I have brought for the price. For under sixty dollars you will get a cd player that is durable, has a long battery life, anti shock and skipping mechanism, and pretty good sound. I think you will not get better for the price anywhere. If you are looking for a high end player do look a little further. The sound quality is good but not spectacular. The main problem is it does not get loud enough. On the highest setting this cd player would have trouble drowning out the sound of an airplane engine on a long flight.
When you are not traveling and just lying in bed or jogging the sound is loud enough, but maybe not for a metal junkie or sound freak. I do think that this is very stable. I have shook this player, jogged with this player, and dropped it a few times by accident. After all that it is still playing strong. Impressive for a sixty dollar player.
You can tell it is good quality by the feel of the components of it. Feel the player, it is made of a lot of metal, not cheap plastic like many other companies have been known to use. Panasonic is known for economical quality, and this does not stray from that ideal.
It has all the features of a more expensive player. It has a random track selection, of course a rewind and a fast forward, a track selection, anti skip mode, all that you excpect is present. It is a very plain metal looking player, so i do not suggest buying this for appereal, just for a good deal. If you do buy this player go out and buy earphones that have it's own volume control. It will sound much better. The earphones that panasonic include are packaged peices of foam that sound like potato chips in the ear. Without a good set of earphones, this good player will not play to it's potential.
