This CD player, and others in the same line related to it, sounds better than most portable machines. Headroom claims this, and prompted by its recommendation I went to have a listen.
It only takes 20 seconds to hear that these machines have a significantly better sound quality than anything in the Sony line-up, and that includes its very expensive ($400 in Europe) models with carbon-fibre bodies at the top of the range. Bearing in mind that the Panasonic players are one third of the price, they become a bargain.
I'm now delighted with this machine and use it every day with $250 Sennheiser HD25 headphones.
