40 sec anti-shock baby!

Pros great product, virtually indestructible, great anti-shock
Cons bulky
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  It's a must buy! Throw it on the ground and it still works :)
I received my SW-505 2 years ago as one of my graduation presents. I was so thrilled after I tear open the wrapping paper and revealed what was inside. Since during that time, the only thing that I owned was this black and fragile panasonic cd-player--received for my birthday 2 years before then.

Water, sun, and surf
This thing is great! It's waterproof and sandproof, perfect for the beaches (I used to live in Florida)! I've brought my SW-505 to the beach numerous times and still in perfect condition. I used to bring my old cdplayer to the beach, and everytime I got back home and inspect my cd player, there were always sand inside of the device. You really have to be careful of cleaning it out, since just one grain of sand can destroy your cds.

Workout buddy
This player can also be a great workout companion! One day I've decided to try out the anti-shock of this thing by jogging with it. The result?? Not a single skip! My previous player often skip ones I start jogging on rougher terrains, up to the point that it start apologzing to me (it display "sorry" when it skips). Another great thing about this player is that you never have to worry about the sweat on your hand as you're holding the device during jogging and similar activities.

Durability
The SW-505 is virtually indestructible no matter how many times you drop it! My desk tend to be cluttered with things and accidentally swipe something to the floor isn't surprising. I think I've dropped my SW-505 like 3 times from my table to TILE floor and not even a scratch. Although the cd did popped out of the thing in the middle, but other than that, everything was fine. I was wondering when this thing is going to break after dropping it so many times. Once I was bragging to my cousin how durable this thing is and THREW it into the snow and retrieved it as if nothing had happened, the music was still playing as smooth as ever. This cd-player is truly amazing!

Cons
In my opinion, there really isn't anything bad about this device that's worth mentioning. However, I'd prefer if it's smaller. I find it rather bulky, I think this player is about 15% larger than my previous one. Also, it doesn't light up... it's not such a big deal, but it'll be a lot more convenient to figure out where the buttons are in the dark.

Finally...
I would recommend this to everybody simply because it'll probably last forever if you don't abuse it any more so than I did :)
