The Bottom Line:
If you're looking for a CD-Player that is versatile, durable, cost effective, long lasting, and can play CD-R's this is the one for you.
I've owned this CD-player for about 2 years now and I have had no problems. I purchased the model that included the car accessories. They included a power cord that plugs into the cigarette lighter, and a cassette tape. The cassette connects to the CD-player and is put into the car's cassette player so you can play your CD's on your car stereo. I have to admit, I do enjoy being able to play my CD's on the car stereo since I don't have a CD player built in to the car. The extra-bass is excellent especially with the hip-hop music I listen to. Another nice feature is the repeat function. I am able to repeat one single song, or every song on the CD. The Anti-Skip protection is great too. I have even tried to make the CD skip by shaking the CD player vigorously, and it took me a solid minute before I could get the CD to skip. You may think that a minute is not that much time if you are say running or something, right? Well the CD player is able to refill it's anti-shock memory in a matter of a seconds. I personally use the CD player when I go jogging, bike riding, or even mowing the lawn and I have never had it skip while I was working. I am able to turn the Anti-Shock function off so conserve battery when I am just sitting at my desk or not moving the CD-player. This is effective to make the battery life even longer than it is when using the Anti-Shock. When it does come time to change the batteries though, you have to take the CD out to get to the batteries. That is a little bit of a pain, but since you don't have to change the batteries often, it is not a big deal. Oh yea, the viewscreen is a little bit difficult to see if the CD-player is sitting on a table. The screen is much easier to see when it is held vertically. When you are doing any activity, that is the position it is in anyway.
Overall, Panasonic has made an excellent little machine that is definitely eye catching and stylish.
