How close am I to my Panasonic SL-SW505 CD Player? Well let me tell you about an event that speaks for itself. During winter break from school, I left my house in NJ en route to Vermont and as I was crossing the NJ/NY border, about 40 minutes from my house, I realized I forgot my CD player. I had no choice, I took the next exit, paid the two tolls, and headed back to my house to find it laying on my bed sheets.
I will admit to it. I am intimately attached to my CD player and here are some reasons why.
First, I am an official CD player destroyer. Wether I get it for my birthday or for Christmas the thing usually breaks within 3 months. But this Panasonic CD player that I bought over the summer has withstood the most wicked tests and is still going strong. Talk about built tough.
Secondly, I always bring my CD player when I'm snowboarding out on the mountain, and the last thing I want is the CD to skip during one of Flea's bass solo's. NO! It totally ruins my concentration and then I end up losing the consistent rhythm I had going. Once again my CD player's 40 second skip protection comes into play and hence Rob's content smile at the bottom of every run.
Being a musician myself, I expect quality sound to emit from all my audio products and that is where the Panasonic CD player really delivers. Since I am a bass player, I like to hear the bass but I don't want it to overpower the other instruments. Well the sound I get out of this CD player suits me perfectly because the bass comes through nice and clear without distorting the other instruments and vocals. The ear-pleasing blend that is created is something you would expect from Panasonic.
Listed are the three main reasons for my complete satisfaction with this product. If you love music and love the outdoors, I strongly recommend that you single out and buy this CD player amid the mountain tops of CD players out there. You will be so glad you did.
