To start off, I first bought a Sony w/ Street Style headphones with 40 sec antiskip.. I don't know the model number of it anymore.. but I took it back because my friend's Panasonic Shockwave wouldn't skip as much as the Sony. After I took it back I bought a Panasonic Shockwave and purchased a set of JVC streetstyle headphones. (don't purchase JVC headphones, i had to take them in for repair). The Shockwave could stand up to anything. I took it to school, and I'm an avid biker, and take it on rides and it will never skip. The only time it will skip, is if you want it to and smash it against your knee a dozen times. One thing I started to notice after owning mine for 6 months is that the small pins on the locks started to peek out. But thats not too big of a problem. Also, the painted on directional arrows on the buttons will get scraped off. I havn't tested the water resistancy yet, but I'm sure it works also. Overall, I feel this is a great little player. And I recommend buying a Cd Burner to go along with it. (Acer burners work great for music and PSX games :) battery life lasts 22-25 hours on my shockwave with antiskip ON.. incredible.
