Pros Durability, Features, Price
Cons Headphones

MP3s are a great way to exchange audio, but the convenience and portability of the CD format is still a force to be reckoned with. Although there are some great advantages to the MP3 format such as the number of songs which can be stored on a disc, the compatibility between your MP3 player and your... Read full review »

Pros Doesn't skip, awesome sound.
Cons Price on the upper side.

Sometimes I want to go running, or jogging, alright, just walking around…and when I do I want my music to be with me, or some kind of sound that will accompany me throughout my journey, and by that sound I don't mean traffic, or an electric chisel chiseling the asphalt. I need music. Therefore... Read full review »

Pros Everything!! All listed Below!
Cons The headphones: Uncomfortable, and the sound is awful!

Once again suckered at a Boxing Day sale! My last JVC Discman had gone down the drain, well almost. It would skip all the time, I could barely move a muscle without it skipping, but it was old so hey. Anyway, I thought I would use Boxing Day to my advantage this year and buy myself a worthwhile... About a year ago I purchased an SL-SW850 portable CD player for my wife. In that time it has performed flawlessly and she isn?t the type to handle electronics with kid gloves... If it cannot survive being tossed around in her car then it doesn?t deserve to live!

I have been so impressed... Read full review »

My first major portable cd player was a Sony. One figures they can't go wrong with a Sony. There were 2 other people in my department at work that had them. Alas it didn't perform up to my expectations.

I searched for the next best player - The Panasonic ShockWave Personal CD Player... Read full review »

I bought my Panasonic Shockwave CD player in October 2001 to replace my Sony CD Walkman which unfortunately ceased to stop working a week earlier.

You can't go wrong...

Pros VERY Durable
Cons Sound and earphones
Recommended it? Yes

First off, I consider myself as very VERY rough with all the electronics I buy. So far I've dropped my ShockWave on concrete numerous times and it has survived (mostly while I was running). I really can't see many other CD players surviving the thrashing that my ShockWave has been through.

To Start With...
The first thing I noticed about my new Panasonic SL-SW860 player was the earphones that came along. I thought it looked cheap and uncomfortable, which turned out to be true. After inserting a cd and started listening to the music, I was a little bit disappointed with the sound... Read full review »
