Cheap, entertaining, and it plays CDs!

Pros sleek, plays clearly, 40-sec anti-shock
Cons no radio
Recommended it? Yes
I needed a cheap portable CD player, and I needed it quick. So a couple of months ago, I purchased the Panasonic SL-SX270 at the local BestBuy. It basically serves the purpose of playing CDs clearly with simplistic operations. It was reasonably priced as well, and that was what helped me make my purchase.

The Panasonic SL-SX270 has 40 seconds of anti-shock and a slim and sleek casing, which isn't bulky to carry or pack. It takes two AA batteries. There is no radio, but you can randomly play tracks or in order and also repeat as you like. Also, some equalizer presets include "Train" and extra bass that enhances your musical enjoyment. Beware of the "Train" preset though because if the song you're listening to has a lot of bass in it already, it may distort the music.

One time, on a bumpy bus trip to Washington, DC, I brought along my CD player, the Panasonic SL-SX270, and I definitely made good use of the anti-shock button, conveniently located between the forward and previous buttons. The anti-shock feature really comes in handy on road trips!

If you're on a budget, but want to enjoy your CDs on the run, invest in the Panasonic SL-SX270, an all-around great gift!
