Panasonic SL-SX280 Personal CD Player

All diskman's should come with anti-skip. This isn't rocket science. It's common sense. If I buy a portable diskman then it's obvious that I'm going to be traveling and listening at the same time. I shouldn't have to be still to listen to it. I shouldn't have to hold it a certain way to listen to uninterrupted songs either. My first Diskman was a Sony-I forget what model-diskman. Sony sucks, period. In less than a year it broke and of course there's no point in getting it fixed when for the same price you can get a new one. So eventually I bought the Panasonic SL-SX280 portable CD player. I bought mine for about $70 at a not so convenient place, so hopefully you can find it cheaper somewhere like Target or Best Buy. I like my Panasonic for these reasons. It's 40sec antiskip is incredible. You don't have to wait for it or press a special button. It's automatic. I can run with this and it won't skip. #2. It doesn't eat up my batteries like most portable devices. Yes, it is a diskman but it didn't go through 10 AA batteries in one month like my Sony. #3. When I press stop it saves the last track I was on last. #4. It has all the features a regular CD player should have: Bass boost, Random and Repeat play, and it can memorize play lists. I'm also proud to say I put my diskman through the ultimate test. I dropped it and it still works. I'm not urging all of you to drop your new diskmans but and I'm not saying it's indestructible but usually when I buy an electronic they shatter into a million pieces. Thankfully mine didn't.
Bottom line is, when your looking for a good product to buy whether it's a CD or DVD player don't just buy it because of a name and what features it has. Buy it because you know it will work for years to come. These products are too expensive as it is, at least make sure they last you till next Christmas.
