The Bottom Line:
Buy this Panasonic CD player if you listen to music in motion and need a thin and very durable payer.
I love to run, but I got bored during my longer runs, having to keep to the same (beautiful) precisely measured route for 1 to 3 hours, 2 or 3 times a week. So I thought about bringing music along.
Before Christmas, I described very precisely the ideal device to my wife, and there it was in the morning, the Panasonic SL-SX510, ultra light, very good anti-shock memory, thin... and very good looking, too.
I take it for each of my long runs and most of the short ones now, plus in the car before and after.
I love the very long battery life, the excellent anti - shock memory ( didn't skip once since I have it ), the weight and size that make it easy to forget, whatever you're doing.
It's easy to use, too, with the small and simple remote or the buttons on the case, although these are a bit too small for tired and sweaty fingers...
The sound is great ( pop, rock, dance ), not tested with classical.
And it is until now sweat and light rain resistant !
Plus, it comes with rechargeable batteries and it accepts 2 different standard battery sizes (AAA and AA), very convenient when traveling.
Only problems : I had to buy special earphones (the original ones wouldn't stay in my ears while running), and it comes in a strange and slippery pouch, not practical for my type of use.
