The Bottom Line:
It is worth every penny! See it for yourself!
Purchased:
I purchased it from Buy.com when it was on sale.
Delivery:
I paid $50 for it to deliver to my front door. The delivery guy actually dropped it on the ground. I know it was an accident. He apologized again and again. It was not damage.
Build Quality, Look & Feel:
Build Quality is very good just like most Panasonic products. It looks stylish and feels sturdy. Black and silver goes well with each other. It screams expensive, that's for sure!
Overall Picture & Sound Quality:
At first, I thought 42" isn't big enough for my 14 feet viewing distance. It is plenty big! The picture quality is very close to the more expensive Pioneer 42" plasma. It is bright, clean and sharp for both HDTV (using OTA signals) as well as for non HD channels. I was concerned that it will get pixelated when the signal isn't HD. That is no longer a concern, it was still sharp. I watched many DVDs using 480I and 480P signals. Both were extremely clear. 480P was a little better using high quality component cable (blue, red and green). I was watching Resident Evil 2. At the end of the movie, where Alice had a flash back, the picture was extremely clear even though the images were refreshing at a high rate.
Sound is unbelievable for TV. I've never heard sound from any TV this good. It really projects a big sound image from these drivers.
Summary: Good quality, good sound, excellent picture quality for both SD and HD, excellent reviews from both end users and professional sources.
