Great pictures if you have perfect light and a still subject.

Auto focus awful, takes to long between pics to be ready to take another.

We were looking for a point and shoot digital to capture the color of the mountains this fall for our son's birthday celebration.
Pictures are blurry unless you have fantastic light and a subject that is not moving.
The auto focus stinks at best under any other circumstance.
Candid shots are nearly impossible unless you are a very lucky person about guessing when the person will be ready for the pic. The auto focus takes so long that 9 out of 10 of the birthday pics were of him moving or his back.
So, if you want to take still pics in wonderful light, this may be your camera.
For the common folks like me who just want to snaps some great candid shots, I cannot think of one good thing to say.

I have to indicate for whom this camera would be good. I will select the highest rating because I think that a professional would recognize the problems and not purchase it sooner than a newbie like me!
