Pentax ZX-50 The Best Christmas Gift I Have Gotten

For Christmas last year I decided to ask for a gift certificate to an electronics store because I wanted to buy a more advanced camera than a point and shoot. The reason for this is that I was travelling to Africa the next year. This was a once in a lifetime trip for me and I wanted my lions, zebras, etc. to be more than a speck on the horizon. Instead of getting a gift certificate my brother bought me a Pentax ZX-50 Lens Zoom Kit.
This camera is absolutely terrific! The kit came with the camera and a standard 80-100 zoom lens, battery, camera case and role of film. For me the best advantage to the Pentax ZX-50 is this: the camera has automatic focus and determines the lens speed for you. So if you are a novice like me who wants good pictures but is not familiar with the ins and outs of photography this feature is so useful.
The pictures are sharp and clear and you can definitely see the difference between the Pentax ZX-50 and a point and shoot camera. I also went out and bought a zoom lens which goes up to 320 and it works very well with the camera. The auto focus also is adaptable to the bigger lens and works just as well.
My pictures came out so well and so close that you can actually see scars on the lion's face instead of a dot in the middle of the grass which you have to explain to people is a lion.
