The Phillips 34w9815 34 inch tv is a quality television that is durable and has withstood the test of time. My brother was given this television as a gift second hand. I dont know how long the original owner used it but my brother owned it for close to a year. When my brother moved he gave the television to my youngest son . We have had this television for 2 years now. So it has been moved to at least 4 different locations as we moved a few months ago. This television has great sound. At times it is like surround sound in a movie theater. the picture quality is good. And when we did not have cable for a few months this television could still be used with a dvr box unlike some older model tv's. The only problem with this television is it's size. It is really hard lifting andmoving this tv. It is extremely heavy. My brother and a friend almost dropped it getting it into our former home. My son and I had a hard time getting it down the hall and into the bedroom and on top of the dresser. And it took my husband myelf and both sons to transport this television from our former house to the car and then up 3 flights of steps to our appartment. I said when we move again the tv stays put for the next resident. But the television works. We had 2 brand new flat screen TV's to blow out on us. Phillips has proven their product are reliable and durable. I also like that the characters are larger than life and seem like a movie screen on this television. That is a benefit for aging eyes.
